 ️‍🌱 DIY COMMUNITY • DIY REVOLUTION• DIY FREEDOM 🌱

As we continue to face the harsh attacks of a political machine seeking to dismantle the humanity of trans, queer, and two-spirit people (and in particular, youth), it is imperative that we create our own systems of safety, support, and resources. We recognize that our self-determination will not be state-sanctioned, and we refuse to wait until it is. We’re going to DIY our own freedom.

We are raising $20,000 to give 40 GSA Clubs across the country $500 minigrants to host events, kickstart campaigns, or sustain/grow their membership through our Youth Freedom Fund.

The Youth Freedom Fund is currently a donor-funded program, meaning every dollar you donate goes directly to a GSA Club working to secure or expand the safety and wellbeing of trans, queer, and two-spirit youth in schools across the country.

️‍We’re counting on the support of our community.️‍️‍

Will you join us as we DIY freedom?

️‍🌈️‍The Youth Freedom Fund️‍🌈

The Youth Freedom Fund was started in September 2023 with one goal in mind: give GSA Clubs the financial resources they need to succeed. We know the power that GSA Clubs hold and the safety they provide to trans, queer, two-spirit, and allied youth across the country. This very power is the reason GSA Network was founded over 27 years ago!

Since its inception, the Youth Freedom Fund has funded nearly 60 GSAs from 25 states. Projects funded include a district-wide queer prom in Georgia, a queer-literature focused bookclub in rural Wisconsin, a queer joy video project shown school-wide in Oregon, a blanket making project for a local HIV organization in California, and so much more!

️‍🌈Who we are️‍🌈

GSA Network is a next-generation trans, queer, and two-spirit (TQ2S+) racial and gender justice organization that empowers and trains queer, trans, and allied youth leaders to advocate, organize, and mobilize an intersectional movement for safer schools and healthier communities. With a focus on intersectionality, we work to dismantle systems of oppression in schools and communities across the country. By strengthening the national movement-building capacity at the intersection of trans, queer, and two-spirit youth organizing, we’re developing the next generation of TQ2S+ leaders, particularly low-income youth and youth of color nationally.
