Gender Affirming Care at VLPP

Your support means that Trans and Non-Binary people will  access the medically necessary care that they need and deserve. No amount is too small! 

Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 and we know that we can do it with your support!

For over  9 years, The Virginia League for Planned Parenthood has served patients through our gender-affirming hormone treatment (GAHT) program.  Since our beginning we have served over  4,000 patients in our GAHT program and demand continues to grow for our services! The program is Trans and Non-Binary led as well as developed by Trans Individuals.  For us, by us!  In addition to hormone therapy, we also provided many other services to Trans and Nonbinary individuals. We believe strongly that Trans health is health care  for the whole self! 

Since we began our Gender Affirming Care Fund in 2021 we have assisted almost 300 patients with financial support because of donors like you! We could NOT do this without you!

At VLPP, we believe that no patient should have to choose between securing essential life affirming healthcare, like hormones, and paying for groceries, an electric bill, or rent. As  patients continue to face rising gas, food, housing prices, and increased costs of other survival needs, our financial support program remains in high demand.   Transgender and non-binary people continue to withstand discrimination and unprecedented attacks against their bodily autonomy, especially here in the South.   Virginia is the only  state in the South that does not have any bans on gender affirming care.  During this critical moment, we are committed to offering safe and welcoming care for this community as well as financial support as we are able to.
