Sparkle Theatricals is a dynamic Twin Cities-based performing arts company dedicated to producing original, inclusive, and fun theater experiences.
We push boundaries by performing in unexpected venues, from traditional stages to unconventional spaces like one-bedroom apartments.
We foster a thriving artistic community where everyone feels welcome to share their unique voice.
And we provide a platform for artists and audiences of all backgrounds to collaborate, grow, and connect on a deep level.
Our History
We are an arts organization fiscally sponsored by Springboard for the Arts. Over the last 10 years, we've made a significant impact:
- We've presented 11 Original Shows & 8 Workshop Classes
- We've employed a diverse, talented pool of 101 artists
- We've captivated 2,700 audience members ages 7 - 85
- We've secured and managed $47,000+ in grants and donations.
- We've benefited from the generosity of 10,000+ volunteer hours.
Our Current Work
- Sparkle Theatricals presents 1 to 2 fully staged immersive productions and 2 to 3 variety shows/fundraisers per year.
- We offer a workshop series called Sparkle Academy to encourage folks to try new things - like juggling! These workshops are intentionally low-cost, or pay what you can, and some are free.
Our 5-Year Vision
- Expand to 4 annual productions
- Collaborate with more artists and audiences
- Sustain a healthy company culture and a balanced budget
- Establish a dedicated creative workspace for Sparkle endeavors
- Increase revenue from tickets, classes, merchandise, and grants
Our 10-Year Vision
As we grow, we aspire to:
- Expand Our Reach to ever more diverse and underserved communities.
- Nurture Creativity at free weekend workshops through Sparkle Academy.
- Inspire Artists by hosting week-long retreats for them to connect and learn.
- Celebrate Life by creating custom special occasion immersive experiences.
- Give Back to the community with in-kind donations and revenue sharing.
